Qualifying Exam

A pass in HSC (Academic) / CBSE / Pre-degree / Plus Two level / equivalent with minimum eligibility marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
OR
A pass with minimum eligibility marks in one of the HSC (Vocational Stream) with Engineering/ Technology as Vocational subjects and any one or two of the related subjects like Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.
OR
Any other equivalent qualification approved by the State Board of Technical Education and Training/Higher Secondary Board of Kerala and Universities in Kerala.
OR
Diploma holder with 60% of mark.

Minimum Eligibility Marks

For SC/ST candidates a pass in the qualifying examination will suffice and the minimum marks are the same as the passing minimum for HSC and diploma exams of the State Board of Kerala.
Candidates belonging to communities other than SC/ST should have obtained the following minimum marks:
HSC (Academic) CBSE / HSC (Vocational) / Pre-degree / Plus and other equivalent examinations. 

Eligibility for Admission

As per Kerala Government norms and Calicut University directions.

Eligibility for Foreign Nationals

The students should have passed qualifying examinations with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry equivalent to +2 Examination of Kerala in Foreign Countries. They should produce passport and visa in originals along with photocopies duly attested at the time of joining.

Eligibility for NRI Students

The candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary examination (10+2 pattern or equivalent) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

NRI financially supporting the candidates must be a blood relation such as Father / Mother / Brother / Sister / Uncle / Aunt only.

Applicants for admission under NRI Quota should not have completed 21 years of age as on 1st July of the respective academic year.

Candidates must furnish the photocopies of the following supporting documents:
NRI status certificate of the financial supporter issued by the Embassy of respective country under their seal.
NRI Bank Account Pass Book of the Financial Supporter.
Passport of the Financial supporter
Nativity Certificate of the Financial supporter

AGE RULES

Applicants should not have completed 21 years of age as on 1st July for the respective academic year.
Kerala SC/ST candidates : No age limit.
Physically handicapped candidates should not have completed 26 years as on 1st July.

Age shall be determined based only on the date of birth as given in SSLC / HSC or an equivalent examination certificate.

LATERAL ENTRY SCHEME

Direct admission to II Year for diploma candidates
Diploma holders from Government approved institutions with 60% marks are eligible for direct admission to second year of B.E / B.Tech courses.
